Aladdin Model 11 Kerosene Oil Lamp

This is one of my favorite auction items this week, manufactured in Chicago between 1918 and 1928 this Aladdin oil lamp is in working condition and I think it's pretty cool.

A 1963 Time Capsule - Community Flight Silverplate

This is a fun auction item for us. These cocktail forks in the flight pattern by Community have never been removed from their original packaging. They are silverplate and are pristine. The original product inserts are included, making this like a mini 1963 Time Capsule.

Grand Duchess by Towle is a Beauty

My favorite auction item of the week is this amazingly stunning silverplate tea set in the Grand Duchess pattern by Towle. I see tea sets all the time so I don't consider myself easily impressed, but this one took my breath away.

Chamert Limoges A Beautiful Little Tray

My favorite auction item this week is this little Limoges porcelain tray with a dainty little violet design. It may have been for calling cards, I'm really not sure but it would look lovely on a vanity table, dresser or just about anywhere.

Hotel Sherman - A Bit of Chicago History

This week we are auctioning off two silver soldered trays from the famed Hotel Sherman in Chicago.

From the earlier part of the 20th Century, these trays were most likely in use during the time the Hotel Sherman's legendary College Inn Restaurant was giving socialites & local celebs their first taste of Jazz.

Hotel Sherman is long gone but this bit of memorabilia lives on.
